Re: Yet another AA hand for review
[/ QUOTE ] IMO betting $15 on the flop is disastrous. [/ QUOTE ] Why? Not trying to be a smartass, just interested in your thoughts? |

Re: Yet another AA hand for review
because you let them see the turn without tying them to the pot. you don't want them to hit on the turn or want to fold it if a scare card (for them) comes. fish aren't planning ahead like "oh, if i call $30 i'm going to want to call anything on the turn because the pot will be big so i better fold if i dont want to go allin" they're thinking "i have something, i need to call."
and notice that MP called the flop, and folded the turn? classic "i flopped a pair in a raised pot, oops it's not good i have to fold the turn" move. another reason to bet bigger on the flop. until you bet the turn they're always putting you on AK. |

Re: Yet another AA hand for review
well this one has probably played out it's discussion. Interesting hand. MP said he folded AK, which is reasonable as he's drawing relatively live on that flop against a lot of hands that I might have. He didn't want to call the $60 though with 1 card left to come. Button believe it or not had KQ. Why he called 12 preflop is beyond me. Once MP called my flop 30 bet, button was getting marginally ok odds to call the 30 because if he hit he was going to win at least another 30 because nobody is folding for that. Anyway, MHIG and I nearly triple up on this hand.
