Default PokerOffice vs. PokerTracker

Any PO users out there who used to use PT but have moved with satisfaction to PO?

This board is PT-biased.

For how great PT support is, I really don't see how you could go for another software.

i believe PO doesnt require hand histories to log your play, so for players on some sites with not-so-great hand history support, this might be the best choice, other than that im PT all the way.

I have both, I still rely on PT, but PO has some nice features. You can datamine Stars with it without having to ask for thousands of individual hand histories (which will get you an e-mail/call from PS enforcers) It uses MySQL, so the database size is limited only by your hardware, not MS Access 2Gig limits. MySQL also works better if you are using one machine as a server to collect and store data and another to play. Poker Tracker's authors are working hard to get MySQL options for their software so the MySQL advantage that PO enjoys may be lost. Then the only advantage really is the data mining of Stars.

Vern

There is a software forum now BTW.
