Default 50NL: Did I make the right move?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

MP3 ($33.08)
Hero ($72.40)
Button ($48.65)
SB ($36.35)
BB ($50.25)
UTG ($37)
UTG+1 ($46.65)
UTG+2 ($57.65)
MP1 ($83.95)
MP2 ($78.70)

Preflop: Hero is CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
2 folds, UTG+2 calls $0.50, 2 folds, MP3 calls $0.50, Hero raises to $2, 1 fold, SB (poster) calls $1.75, 1 fold, UTG+2 calls $1.50, MP3 folds.

Flop: ($7) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, UTG+2 checks, Hero bets $4.25, SB folds, UTG+2 calls $4.25.

Turn: ($15.50) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG+2 checks, Hero bets $9, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $24.50

Results in white below:
No showdown.

The converter keeps on missing UTG+2's all in after I bet $9 on the turn. So it was $40ish for me to call.

I am not sure if it was worth calling his bet there... it screamed trips to me, or I sucked out a straight. Any thoughts?

I wouldn't call the all-in CR either, don't see what you have beat (AT?)

Why the 4.25 bet though? I'd have made it the pot, $7. If he called, I probably would have checked behind on the turn and value a blank river.

if hero raises he makes it atleast 3...

Flop: ($7) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, UTG+2 checks, Hero bets $4.25, SB folds, UTG+2 calls $4.25.

if we made it 3 preflop, we should pot this flop...

Turn: ($15.50) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG+2 checks, Hero bets $9, Hero folds.

if he c/r'ed me all in i would have a read and use it to make my decision...

I guess I should start raising a bit more in those positions with a few limpers...

I figured that $7 would be too big of a bet, but I guess I am wrong. And I thought about checking the turn, but I figured that the Q wouldnt have helped him.

No reads?

I hate the flop bet. Why so little? With a potsize raise on the flop, we don't have to be so worried about KJ. As played, against an unknown, a fold is probably standard, but I think I might find a call here. Villain's line just doesn't make sense. I think villain has 22 or TT, or we have him crushed. Make your life easier though, and put in a proper flop bet.

Yes. No reads really.

Alright, I figured that my 4.25 was enough. It still gives him 2.5 to 1 I guess. Should I be doing pot sized bets like this in a lot of situations on the flop, or just ones where there are 2 possible draws (flush+straight)?

And thanks to all for the help/suggestions.

the reason i think its important to pot this flop is that its not hu, the board is super nasty, and i want max value out of weaker aces. as for the turn i dont check here. we have top 2 on a board that the villain could quite easily be drawing. as for calling the c/r or not, as a standard i fold, but there are definitly villains i instacall against here...

I think your PF play is fine. Flop bet should have been larger. 6 or 7 bucks tells KJ to piss off. I agree with the fold against most players. If this guy is a maniac or you have seen him getting out of line badly this can be a call.

Yeah I didnt check because I did think he was still drawing so I didnt want to give him a free card or show weakness.

What should I have done if the turn was the Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]? It would have completed the straight and flush draws if he was on one of them.

2.5:1 is practically irrelevant, it's all about IMPLIED odds.

I think a Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] on the turn is a super easy check, as we are now behind a large portion of his range, and we can try to fill up for free.
