It didn't take long for the curmudgeon to make an appearance.

Last night WAS boring, unless you're a fan of watching several hands in a row with no flops, or of incredibly passive play.

I do agree about the end of the show, people who actually bothered to watch the 4 hours wanted to get something resembling a payoff get completely ignored.

Tuch, you must not have seen the Turning Stone tournament in 2004 if you say live televised tournaments have zero value. It does helps if you have a group of players that are interesting. This year's live tournament at the Wynn had a similar group of known players, but it wasn't as good a broadcast as last year's event.
