$11: go all the way with JJ?
No HH, sorry. Pokerroom $10+1, blinds 50-100. 2 limpers, I'm on the button with JJ and a little under 3000 (a bit below average), raise to 400. SB (with about 8000) makes it 850.
Give it up? Push? Reraise without pushing? |

Too stupid a question to even bother ridiculing?

Re: $11: go all the way with JJ?
Problem is it depends. Take it we're nowhere near the bubble. Have you been stealing alot? Has he been playing back at raises from steal positions?
If the answer to either of those questions is yes then I'm pushing. If he's been supertight and so have I then I'll probably call given the small raise and take it from there. |

yes. i have never seen a more clear push in my life [/ QUOTE ] This is by no means an easy push. If the SB is a competant player he will only call if you are beat, or at best with AK. I think his weak raise with players behind him, and out of position indicates strength, and a hand better than JJ. My first choice is to call and take a flop in position, my second choice is to fold and give him credit for an overpair, my distand third choice is to push, because this is definitely one of those situations where he will only call if you are badly beaten. |

Re: $11: go all the way with JJ?
I don't remember all the specifics, but I think my read on the guy was that he was playing back a fair amount. He wasn't the biggest stack, but certainly enough to bully some. I'd done some stealing, but I don't think I'd done much since moving to this table.
I went for what I should have known was the least desirable option, re-raise and call his push. I was ok with his AK until the flop came xAK and I was done. I suspect I'd have been called anyway if I pushed, so my only escapes were folding to the initial re-raise or calling the re-raise and running for the hills post-flop. |

Re: $11: go all the way with JJ?
This is an easy fold for me, I'm looking for something better than a coin flip against the chip leader, the blinds are not over whelmingly high yet and you can find a better spot and someone better to pick on.
