Table draw (Warning: whine content)
I understand MTT table assignments being random in the interest of fairness, but shouldn't that randomness be tempered with a little common sense?
I was just in an $11 O8 on PokerRoom. Going along, doing ok but not great. My table broke, and the table I got moved to was home to the top three in the whole tournament. Most of the rest of us at the table weren't too bad off, but that didn't last, since the three huge stacks could pretty well beat the crap out of any and all of us, and did. Am I wrong in thinking that having these three all at the same table was not only a huge disadvantage for those of us with the misfortune to be there, but a huge advantage for everyone with the great fortune to be at the other two tables left? I suppose just like the cards, sometimes the table draw isn't going to fall your way. The cards, however, make no claim to fairness...isn't the table draw supposed to? |
