Really bad time to c/r an OESD. Your hand is not as strong as you might think because it is insanely vulnerable to redraws.

The raise is for information. I want to know if I'm drawing dead or not.

then all you accomplished was a chip spew, IMO. THe draw is obscenely weak. I'd check fold this flop and go onto the next hand

Check/fold this flop. You're drawing slim.

My thinking was as long as he doesn't have 2 diamonds, I can fight for this pot. His 3bet told me he has a flush, so I fold. As long as I'm not drawing dead, I have a reasonable chance to win seeing as how everybody is out of the pot. Spiking a non [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J,T,Q or 7 would probably win it for me. I figured he could be betting with just a garbage pair of 8s with no diamond, or a single diamond.

its still a chip spew here. Your draw is way too weak for you to fight for this pot at all. So if you hit your oesd your still susceptible to a fourth diamond. fold it and go on to the next hand. you'll save money in the long run by doing this. Information on this baord is useless with the weak draw that you have

Don't raise for information. This is WA/WB, and you don't have a hand anyway.

Fold it.

Yeah, he probably only has 6 clean outs (3 queens and 3 eights) assuming that a dimond doesn't come out on the turn or the river. The non-diamond jacks and tens to give you top pair on the turn probably isn't too helpful as you could be outkicked or outdrawn on the river by overcards (not to mention the fact that helps villian with his own possible straight draw).

There isn't enough money in the pot to chase after that draw. I don't see how a raise on the flop is a good idea. It would be better to call to see the next card and even better to simply fold.
