I think I would play it the same as you in a live game. You don't find many live players who are willing to bet after being raised twice unless they are powerful.

You have just summed up in one paragraph why online play frustrates the heck out of me. Players play so bad, they actually make the correct play sometimes. I guess if they make the correct play then they do not play that badly.

I like your points Max.. I am sure I need to think more about playing live vs playing online.

In my experience most live game players are loose-passive. Loose-passive players rarely make a correct play, because calling is so rarely correct. The also never get the full value out their good hands.

Loose-aggresive players and maniacs often make the correct play, because they do a lot of betting and raising. They make be making these correct plays by accident, but they still make them. Of course they balance that out by making plenty of terrible plays.

I've often wondered whether playing online so much has ruined my game.

I would be inclined to raise again on the turn, since UTG's betting pattern doesn't suggest a strong hand. Most UTG's would checkraise the turn or 3-bet the flop if they had two pair or a set.

LP probably has a Q or 2 hearts, or possibly worse if he's one of the Party fish. It's possible he coldcalled the flop raise with a set or 2 pair, but that's unlikely enough I wouldn't worry about it.

UTG had KQclubs and LP has KQo

Aces are good.

Poorly, Red, go back to lurking.

But wait, oh yes, the 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] usually scares the $hit out of me too on a board of Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. I hate that 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

Raise the turn.

The player who just calls along scares me the most.

MG, WTF!?!? Have we forgotten the ol' Clarkmeister addage? "Don't worry about the callers, worry about the raisers". Players that call, like to call because that's what they do, they call.

The turn really scares me.

Oh yes, you too, eh? Damn that 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

What are doing MG? Turning into a Homer?

Peace,
JT

I prefer to call the flop and raise the turn.

[/ QUOTE ]

On a 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] flop you should raise this flop everytime to make a flush draw pay.

Most definately yes. If this were Live I would have answered totally differently.

When you coming up to Fox with MG? We all should plan a trip soon after the WPF.
