Anyone else TiVo this thing only to have it end as both players were all in on what apparently was the last hand? I should have known better and added some time to the end, but I figured there was no way the blinds wouldnt be high enough to end this thing before 4 hours and 1 minute.

You can catch a rerun at 10:30.

Why are there not more live poker events televised?
the stuff on FSN is alway good, imagine what ESPN could do.
you get to see all the hands and what really happends (no editing just the 'big' hands)
lederer is the best commentary i've heard
these broadcasts are more about poker and less about entertainment

we need to pressure wpt and espn to broadcast more live events and put comptent analysis in the commentary booth

Default annie duke\'s janet jackson/ tara reid moment

am i the only one who noticed that, during the segment where they add chris ferguson to the commentary team and say goodbye to annie duke, annie's breasts and nipple are pretty clearly visible through her sheer black shirt?

for those of you who tivo'd this, check it out yourself (it happens about 2 hrs into the broadcast).

ESPN just isn't willing to put up with the additional cost that a live broadcast requires. The mainstream audience for Poker doesn't really care either way (and probably wouldn't be bothered to watch 4 straight hours of poker) so they take the cheap way out and just air it months later.

I watched most of it up until Negreanu busted, then I sorta trailed off. Came back for the final few hands.

I gotta say it was not that entertaining. Watching people steal the blinds has no entertainment value. Sure, this is what actually goes on most of the time in tournaments, but it doesn't make for interesting TV. 4 hours is also too long. After watching (most of) it, I don't mind WPT's rampant editing so much anymore!

I like the idea of live poker, but in its current format I just don't see it working. They need to find a way to focus on the action, which is mainly hands played to the river. They need to distract viewers from the blind stealing aspect of tournament poker, because it's really just boring.
