Default Passive Turns Aggressive on Scary River

Villain is unpredictable. He's shown down some very questionable hands and is sometimes passive and sometimes aggressive. Very hard to put him on anything.

Ive got the second nut so there is no way I can fold. Is this a call or 3-bet?

I would 3-bet and call a cap.

Although the nut flush is possible, I'm thinking Villain probably just has a jack.

Man, whenever this sort of river raise happens to me from this type of player, I wet myself with happiness.

Easiest 3-bet in the world. With 4 to a straight out there he could easily be raising a jack. If he has the nut flush oh well.

Tons of hands he would raise that river with that you beat. Bluff, Jack, slow played hand. 3-bet, cap, recap.

grunching...

I think this is a reraise. You have a very strong hand, and he will have the ace flush well under 50% of the time. The lack of betting on the flop suggest he doesn't have the overpair, but he also doesn't have AKc ... with an unpredictable read as to whether he would raise w/ AQs, AJs... i would reraise the river for value.

Grunching

I think this is a three bet just because the river card can complete som many things. He probably doesn't put you on a flush with the runner runner draw and could easily be raising a straight or two pair. Heck, if he's very tricky he could even be raising with TP (like AQ) or just on a bluff. I think this is an easy re-raise.

Thanks for the input. I 3-bet, he capped and I called. He turned over KJo to complete the straight and I giggled.

He turned out later to be about the biggest donk ever betting away his entire stack to the table. Unfortunatly, so did the rest of the table and it broke up before I could buy myself a new car.
