Default L.A. Card Rooms

This is my first post in B&M, and while im am appreciative of the FAQs posted, they leave some of mine unanswered. I am a freshman in college in Los Angeles, and I was wondering if there are card rooms that will allow me to play, and for what limits, etc. I dont want to go into a casino with a fake, if i have to ill go in with nothing at all. I dont want to seem like a total noob, but unfortunatly thats what I am for B&M. i am content playing online, and it is more convenient, but I want to get some live experience. Do I have to know someone to get into these? Do the same rules apply to card rooms that are for casinos? Apologies for the newbie questions.

Morongo is 18+, about 75 miles east on 10 fwy in Cabazon. You'll find plenty of 2-4, 3-6, and 1-2NL, and often a single 4-8 and single 2-5NL.

You can try to get in at Commerce. Sometimes they ID, sometimes they do not. Los Angeles card clubs are 21 and over.

Like the previous poster said, your other option is the indian casinos. Drive of death on Friday nights though.

I am 20 and also have no desire to step foot in a 21+ establishment with either a fake ID or no ID for the matter, as it would screw me up career wise (law enforcement). So I have no problem making the 'Drive of Death,' to Morongo which actually is not so bad. Perhaps I don't feel it is bad as I used to drive to Barona (San Diego) until Morongo opened its new room.

Where are you going to school and do you have transportation? Are you a transplant from elsewhere or SoCal born & raised?
