Default wardrobe question

So I've always been a pair of baggy jeans and a good metal band t-shirt kind of guy. Been doing it long since it got semipopular here recently. Always been good enough to get the women in this dress.
Unfortunately I'm getting old, the look may or may not still work for me. Baggy jeans definatly seems out. Add that into the fact that all my clothes have holes worn into them.

Either way I am now faced with the idea of building a new wardrobe. I come to OOT for help because, well, I am involved in a game of risk right now and need something to do while I wait on people to take their turns. Gimme some suggestions that go from pure grunge look (on my defense I am a drummer in a metal band, www.ghostriderblack.com we were really good stupid [censored] singers) to alittle more sex appeal or something. But not into the whole frat guy look or something. I could almost go for a full designer wardrobe if I could find good suggestions.

The metal look is still the same except instead of baggy black shirt and baggy jeans, it's really tight black shirt and tight (think girl) jeans. Good luck.

There is an episode of "How Do I Look?" on the Style Channel with your name on it. Singer for rock band needs a new look. God, I watch too much bad TV...

no [censored], I'm trying to avoid this [censored]. I'm not into the trendy crap of it and in fact am upset that all the trendsters now look like me because i get likened to trensters. I am more trying to find something between the professional look and the I barely have the ability to dress myself look. Or links to really good designer [censored].

The whole "metal look" ain't what I do. In fact looks are for fags.

Ok heres an idea.

Buy new band shirts that fit- not tight, not big, but fit. Check out Urbanoutfitters.com for some neat shirts. Wear a cool patterened long sleeve button up shirt over, but casually open. Baggy jeans have got to go- theres plenty of options where they are loose but not Jnco.

This way you're staying true to your roots (metal rules this world) but you don't look like an idiot or feel uncomfortable. Check out that site I said above, they have a lot of great clothes there. If it's too pricey (some of it is way overpriced) you can find a lot of the same types of clothes other places. Good luck.

In other words, you want him to dress like a bum that is just starting out in bumdom, instead of a bum.

It doesn't have to be bummy.

And I didn't see you contribute any ideas...

Metal t-shirts are fine, but you probably are going to have to go one size smaller. When you get older baggy, oversized clothes tend to just make you look fat and sloppy. Plenty of hipster metal guys in NYC get chicks with $150 jeans and a Dillinger Escape Plan t-shirt.
