I bear an unsettling resemblance to Derek Vinyard, the lead character in American History X. When it became more common for people to register on newsgroups, listservs and the like under aliases rather than actual names I started using it as my friends had been teasing me about the resmeblance for a while.

Jaffa = name of my dog. He's a good dog, so i gave the honour of having my twoplustwo and other poker aliases based around his name.

Actually, i think Citanul said somewhere he got his name of a Magic the gathering card. I know there's place or something in the MTG world thats called Citanul.
