Default Yesterday\'s attcks in Bangladesh

Link

I'm surpirsed no one has posted this yet? Does anyone care?

I would think this is pretty big news to the right. A Massive bombing operation in a muslim country, responsibility claimed by muslim extremists.

Does this show some flaw in the pacifist argument?

What does everyone think?

The reason this story hasn't received more attention is that islamic terrorism is so frequent that such acts of terrorism become part of the background - 'business as usual'.

After all, mass murders of innocent civilians by muslim terrorists in New York and Washington DC and London and Madrid and Bali and Iraq and Israel and Pakistan and Afghanistan and Algeria and Egypt and India and Saudi Arabia, the mass murder and rape of hundreds of little schoolgirls by muslim terrorists in Beslan, genocide and mass rape of 'infidels' by islamic janjaweed in Sudan, etc. etc. etc.

The public simply becomes jaded in the face of this constant barrage of senseless mass murder targeting innocent civilians, so an islamic terror attack that results in relatively minor casualties is ignored.

Default Still no one cares.

Why?

Is another unstable, potentially theocratic muslin country unimportant? Do we think India will clean up any mess that is caused here?

Just because the were only a couple fatalities doesn't mean this wasn't big news. They hit every major target in every province almost simultaneously. This was a warning shot and the next time, their givernment and their society will come down. I guess we'd rather debate one Brazillian who got killed in a London subway, or one lady who's been brain dead for 10 years than talk about a serious threat to millions of peaceful muslims and the stability of their region.
