Default Tournament Structure Changes in Strategy?

Given 2 different tournament structures...

1)
Starting stacks: T5000
Blinds:
25/50
50/100
75/150
100/200
200/400
300/600
500/1000/100
Rounds: 20 minutes

2)
Starting stacks: T1000
Blinds:
10/15
15/30
25/50
50/100
75/150
100/200
200/400 (no ante ever)
Rounds: 20 minutes

What adjustments need to be made (if any) from one tournaement to the other in order to maximize one's chances of winning?

These are both live, 2-table tournaments that I attend on a regular basis, one in which I perform very well, the other in which I do not.

Default Re: Tournament Structure Changes in Strategy?

Interesting question. I cranked up excel to get a better feel for the structures. It looks like until the antes kick in, the stacks in game 1 should be roughly twice as deep as in game 2.
