Default best wineglasses to buy

Hey guys,

I need to buy a set of REALLY nice wine glasses as a gift. Is Riedel the best?

I don't think the crew posts here. If they do, I doubt they know anything about wineglasses.

you can't go wrong with riedel basically. you can do different stuff for different stuff, but really if you just want "wine glasses" and it's for a nice gift, just go for some classy riedels.

I'm thinking Riedel Sommelier collection. But I'm wondering if something like Baccarat is better. I think the latter is just famous for crystal while Riedel is good at glasses specifically.

Riedel is great. They would make an excellent gift. In fact, I would like it if somebody here would please send me a bunch of their new wine tumblers, no stem, no lead. I would like the cabernet glasses please. If the people you are buying for like wine, riedel is great. The only possible drawback is the fragility for everyday use. Which is why I may get the tumblers next time I buy riedel.

Yes.

Note that there are different quality lines within Riedel.

The 'O' series. A friend of mine just got a set and I have now decided that I need a set too. They are really great.

Thanks. I'm going with Sommelier (I probably should've included that in the OP).
