I think if a cop gives you an order and tells you that if you dont comply you will be tazed, you shouldn't be surprised if you get tazed.

There is, as there should be, a price to being a "badass"

[/ QUOTE ]

This is a great point.
People really need to listen to cop's directions more. You will never win.

I don't think wasting the officers time is a reason to use force.

how many times should he have repeated, "if you don't get out of the car I'm going to taze you!" before doing it?!

six, ten, fifteen?

[/ QUOTE ]

If he is unable to get her out of the car with out using a weapon he should call for backup. I am thinking if he fealt no danger he shoudl not be using a weapon. If he fealt danger he should be calling for back up and waiting for them to arrive.

to me...this was UNJUSTIFIED b/c all he told her was get out of the car...he did not say im placing u under arrest before that statement nor did he inform her that her lisence was suspended...this cop had a bit of an authority complex and didnt have a problem applying it

i LOVE when they pull u over for no reason and then say ooo well it was for this and this and this - thingsy they COULDNT see before they pulled her over like a crack in the window, etc.

He should have explained things to her...not demanded she get out for NO reason and taze her!!! come on now!

This is probably about the only police brutality video where I have no sympathy for the victim.

He pulled her over for Speeding, once you get pulled ANYTHING additional they see they can cite you for. Further more he DOES say I'm placing you under arrest for: suspended license

As far as tazing her for "wasting his time" if she swatted him away from taking the phone as he implies at the end of the footage, I hate to say it but that is assault, and interfering with a police officer discharging his duty and he has a right to subdue you.

Yes I agree that two grown men should be able to get her out of the car another way. However, saying that now is easy, how does the police officer know that if had reached in that car she wasn't going to stab him in the eye or something with a pen/knife/the phone whatever.

And JBB, I got riot tazed and tear gased in Japan I was providing escort for some diplomats and part of riot control training means you get to have your weapons used on you so that you hesitate before employing them.

this is the fnuniest thing I've ever seen, or its atleast close.

I've been riot tazed before as well, in the army, and it's uncomfortable at best, but nothing to whine like that about.

my girlfriend's dog started howling during the section where she was whining like a hungry poodle.

this is hilarious.

and if you think it's unjustified, it is most likely because you would act the same way around a cop...

I dont like them either, but acting like an [censored] is asking for it.

I love how she called racism on him for pulling her over for what was it... 4 different violations?

1. An unlawful threat or attempt to do bodily injury to another.
2. The act or an instance of unlawfully threatening or attempting to injure another.

I don't think swatting someone away from your phone constitutes assault. I think assaulting someone implies being the aggressor. An assault did occur here, but it wasn't by her.

mine was lagging so i musta missed him saying it BEFORE he tazed her...but no what i was saying is i hate when they go i pulled u over for a damaged window etc etc AFTER they pull u over - LIKE they saw it to start with!

and swatting is NOT assult in this situation

im not saying she shouldnt have been arrested...but it could have been handled in ANOTHER fashion...some cops are on a power trip and dont think twice before using that force - if i saw her as a DANGEROUS person sure...but she didnt appear dangerous in this situation to me

That was the best. She was doing 51 in a 35! I think it's just a defensive mechanism some use. She might as well try, right? If it works, she gets off. If not she's in no worse shape.
