I got an IBM thinkpad.

The state of california gave me my best christmas gift 2 days before christmas. They sent me a notice telling me that they would pay for my Master's Degree.

5k in cash after being out of work for 6 months and having JUST started a new job (next full paycheck almost 3 weeks away).
My mortgage company and the folks that financed my car were happy too!
