Re: Please evaluate my stats 5/10 (6 max)
it certainly can be a winning strategy, but why settle? why not seek the *optimal* strategy, a process that also has greater implications- you'll learn the skills to go beyond 5-10

Re: Please evaluate my stats 5/10 (6 max)
Exactly. I have a feeling 5/10 is where I'm going to learn how to play poker . I'm quite content to never leave here, but I feel 10/20 has many good games. I plan on about 200,000 hands here at 5/10 assuming I improve how I hope.
How many hands do most people play at 5/10 before moving up again? |

it depends, but you'll know when its time to take some shots, just don't expect it to happen overnight

Re: Please evaluate my stats 5/10 (6 max)
What's a typical WTSD and W$SD for say a 22/17 vs say, 28/23

ehh... its too close. They should both be around 35% and just above 50%.

My biggest struggle at 5/10 is identifying the turn raise bluffs [/ QUOTE ] There aren't very many. Just fold the turn a ton and you'll be playing close to optimally. Also, I'd shoot for 22/16 rather than anything higher especially as you are just starting out. I also agree that given your VP$IP it's a little worrysome that your agression is so low. Krishan - 15 |

Re: Please evaluate my stats 5/10 (6 max)
Really Krishan? I've seen a lot of turn bluffs, either complete bluffs or semi-bluffs.
As far as aggression, could you specify where it seems I'm weakest, i.e., flop, turn, or river? Thanks, M |

Thanks, M [/ QUOTE ] 5/10 is a passive game. You should have PT data on ALL your opponents. You should be able to pigeonhole those that can bluff raise the turn. I would estimate that they are the significant minority. Unknowns I think I would give credit at 5/10. Turn agression needs the most work. But stat aligning can only go so far. Playing today and saying, "I need to bet the turn" can be disasterous if you don't know what turns to be betting. Posting more hands is always the best. Krishan - 24 |

W$WSF 46.56% W$SD 59.06 [/ QUOTE ] Hmmmmm..... What this tells me is either you're running great or winning lots of small pots and losing big ones. If you aren't making 4bb/100 with these numbers then you need MUCH better game selection. |

Of course he's going to win all those pots because he's going to be playing better hands on average than his opponents. |
