Default AA gets in trouble.

Empire 200 NL full ring. Villain (12/2/2) has $163, I have him covered.

I get A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] in EMP.

1 call, 1 fold, I raise to $8. Villain calls in MP, BB calls, original caller folds.

Flop (3 players): T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Villain checks, I bet $25. Villain calls.

Turn (2 players): J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

I check (too weak? By underbetting here, I think I'd be inviting him to steal the pot). Villain checks.

River (2 players): T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Villain bets $25. I think for a bit then call.

With his stats I would expect a call from AA KK QQ JJ TT 99 88 77 66 55 44 33 22 AK. My guess is on QQ, or AK. What would he call with here to beat us? AJ? If not he'd have to have quads. oops or 888 I knew I was missing something there. Still I call because of QQ AK possibilties- although they might raise preflop - his pfr is 2. ill take my chances that he wouldnt often enough to make this +ev when its either 8s full or quads to beat us.

I can't think of that many hands that an uber tight player (12% VPIP!!) would call a 4xBB preflop raise with that contains a ten or a jack. AT or AJ are possible, but unlikely. He might be playing TT or JJ very passively, but there's an equal chance of him having KK or QQ. I'm sure he has KK or QQ at least 20% of the time here, so I call.

Given villains flat call of your flop bet, a turn check is fine here, esp. since he's an uber tighty.

Calling the river is fine, he's either got a monster (8/8 or Quads) or Q/Q or K/K.

I'm with the other poster who said this 12% VPIP (villain) is unlikely to call a 4X BB raise with a loose 10 or J in his hand.

Hey guys, good thoughts.

I figured, as well, that he wouldn't call a raise with a T or J in his hand.

We were right; he had 99 and MHIG.
