Default Since We Have Had A Bunch Of Steak Threads-

OK for all you people wondering how to cook a steak. Here's another indoor method. It is nice and unhealthy and politically incorrect. Got it from a Basque cookbook, crediting a high desert ranch somewhere or another. I did it tonight with thin steaks. I am nmore likely to do it with thin mediocre steaks than with a very good thick steak. YMMV.

Mince up some garlic. I did 3 cloves for 2 thin steaks.

Get your steaks out.

Rub them down with the garlic. Use all of it. Both sides of course.

Season with salt, pepper, and parsley too.

Leave them at room temp for a while.

Before cooking, dust them with flour. I kind of dredge them, but end up with a nice coat of flour, not a heavy batter.

Fry the steaks in a healthy amount of oil. I used olive oil in a cast iron pan. The oil should be half way or so up the steaks. You aren't searing them, but they aren't totally immersed. But a lot of oil maybe like a chicken fried steak or something.

Delicious. I served this health conscious item with a nice $10 marrietta old vine red mongrel. Try it those of you in cold climates and/or without grill.
