Getting Cash From ATM's

I'm thinking of taking a roadtrip to Seneca Allegany to play a little poker tomorrow. I've been itching and never have played in a casino before. It's about a 4 hour drive and I've finally grown the balls to go for it.

I was planning to play some 1-2 NL and maybe some 2-5 depending on how things went. I want to take around $500 in cash with me. I've never tried getting such an amount from an ATM, so is there some special process I have to do?

For some reason I have it in my head that I can get a max of $200 at a time. If this is the case, can I do multiple transactions at the same ATM without having problems?

Only places i've seen where you can only get $200 are crappy gas station atms. Most atms now will let you get at least 400 or 500 and the bank beside my house lets me take out up to $1000. At atms with a $500 limit i have taken out $500 back to back a couple times with no problems but my old bank would only let me take out $500 per day so i guess it really just depends. Might be a good idea to give your bank a ring to find out though.

Alot of times your bank will have limit on how much you can take out per day. You can always ask them to increase your limit. Mine is $300 and never bothered to ask for an increase.

if you pull it out at salamanca you will have no problems, I blieve they charge like 2 bucks for the transaction though.

One of these weekends that you decide to go (if you decide to go again) i'd love to meet up with you there and play some poker.
The place is only about 1.5 hours from where I live.
Both of their games are good and if you are there during a friday/saturday they will usually have the 5/5 500 game running which gets rid of some of the Ultra Aggro Nutbags with deep pockets who used to play the $200 buy-in exclusively.

To be safe, go to an ATM today and try and get all $500 and see if there's a limit set by your bank (I know mines $300). If there is then you can get the other half tomorrow.

But couldn't you go to the bank today? Banks around here are open till 2 or 3 on Saturdays.

Thanks for the info. I woke up this morning and checked the weather report and both here in Pittsburgh & Salamanca were expecting 1-3 inches of snow. I drive an Eclipse, not exactly a beast in the snow so decided to just stay home.

I would have just called my bank but I wouldn't have got anyone live last night or before my departure this morning. I guess I need to add that to my "things to do" list since it would be nice to know if an emergency happens.

I might shoot for next weekend depending on if I got to go out of town the following week. I'll let you know if I do. Where abouts do you live?

The limits are set by your bank and not the ATM, my bank allows $300 per day MAX.

My paypal ATM is $400 per day max.
