Default B & M in Los Angeles area

I need to brush up on my live game play. I've never played Holdem live(except for home games), although I've played many other forms of poker live. I'm looking for some suggestions of B&M's in the Los Angeles area where I can get some decent action for $100NL buy-in. I know of most of the casions, bicycle, bell gardends, etc... but I don't know which place is good to learn holdem em live.

Suggestions appreciated...

I recently played at the Hollywod Park and they have an odd structure that I believe is duplicated at the other area casinos. 100 buy in is 2-3 blinds so you only get 33 big blinds so everyone starts out short stacked. You will find that players play very loose and unpredictable with these short stacks. You have to be patient and get a double up or two and then once you have some chips you can really pummel the small stacks.

That being said I don't like the structure but the players are really, really loose so I think the game can be beatable.

Oh yeah $5 rake 4 to house 1 to jackpot. . . no good.

Nope $5 every pot!!! But I mean the players are REALLY LOOSE! I am not as sure about the Commerce, although I know the structure is the same.

What? There has to be some percentage/minumum. What if the pot is only $10? They're going to take half?

No, if there is a flop the money is gone. Although I don't think they take the 1 for jackpot unless pot is a certain amount. Oh yeah, one other thing, the standard raise is usually 15-20 bucks which is a large %of your stack for a pf raise.

Yeah, that's 15-20% of your stack. Not the live game I'm looking to start out with, but might peek at it latter on. Thanks.

Commerce has the same structure unfortunately. 2/3 blinds, 100$ max buy in. The structure sucks, frankly, but if you can double up the players are bad. Let me know if you find a better one.

What about the rake?

Is the bicycle no good anymore?

Sadly, I am underaged, and have never had the opportunity (or motivation) to play at the Bike. Fortunately for me, Commerce has a pretty lax carding policy and I've never had an issue.

I would assume they rake at least 2$ out of every pot. Anybody know what the structure is like with the Hawaiian Gardens?
