Absolute 25c: KQo first in on button, reraised, AAQ flop
Please comment on my play on both streets. No reads (I'm new to the table). Absolute .25 game generally plays very tight for these stakes, especially full ring.
(EDIT: OK, here's the full HH.) Stage #242153952: Holdem No Limit $0.10 - 2005-12-07 20:31:08 (ET) Table: JAPONICA AVE (Real Money) Seat #2 is the dealer Seat 2 - Hero ($11.40 in chips) Seat 3 - BUFFETT ($9 in chips) Seat 4 - VEEB0Y ($9.65 in chips) Seat 5 - PIRATEJOE ($8 in chips) Seat 6 - JIM WISLER ($10.75 in chips) Seat 7 - NUTTZALLDAY ($24.75 in chips) Seat 8 - FORT ($10.75 in chips) Seat 9 - GHOSTTRAIN ($18.60 in chips) Seat 1 - DIMITRIT ($9.65 in chips) BUFFETT - Posts small blind $0.10 VEEB0Y - Posts big blind $0.25 *** POCKET CARDS *** Dealt to Hero [Kh Qc] PIRATEJOE - Folds JIM WISLER - Folds NUTTZALLDAY - Folds FORT - Folds GHOSTTRAIN - Folds DIMITRIT - Folds Hero - Raises $0.75 to $0.75 BUFFETT - Raises $1.40 to $1.50 VEEB0Y - Folds Hero - Calls $0.75 Flop: [As Qd Ad] BUFFETT - Bets $1.50 Hero - Raises $3.50 to $3.50 (For full result see link.) http://www.pokerhand.org/index.php?p...7&noview=y Rationale: Preflop He min-reraised so I'm getting reasonable pot-odds if I can keep from getting stuck with a dominated hand. There's also some chance he's on a resteal although my table image is a blank slate. Flop: There's a reasonable chance he has something like JJ , TT, or two big diamonds and I'm ahead, or KK and will give it up to a raise. (The paired aces probably make him think the same thing I think, i.e. it's likely neither of us has an ace.) Certainly if I'm reraised or even called, I don't take any more aggressive action. (Even if I catch a K or Q, I can't be beating any hand that calls me here except a flush draw.) |
