I love Deadwood. It's *the* TV show for people who think the biggest thing wrong with TV is that you don't hear the word c**ks***er often enough.

Episode I, Season II, c**ks***er count - 8

My wife watched about 3 minutes with me, and quit counting the F-words at 5. As she was leaving the room, she said "They didn't talk that way back then".

[/ QUOTE ]Yes, I'm sure that back then in towns where there was no government, no laws, and two whorehouses, people spoke proper, swear-free English.

Fantastic.. worth the wait from last season. Glad to see Calamity Jane made a brief showing, yelling out "Coksvckers!" before passing out on her horse. I know she'll make more worthy contributions as the season continues.

If anyone has TIVO, try slowing down the preview for next week, to see if its really Al getting pwned.

It was not him. I just saw it last night and it was easily the best show yet.

[/ QUOTE ]As a follow-up, last night on the History Channel's Wild West Tech series, they focussed on Deadwood, and it was mentioned that in the real Deadwood, sheriff Seth Bullock enacted a law to outlaw swearing in public, so it was apparently a problem back then.

imdb.com doesn't have an appearance listed for him in season 2, but I would bet my bankroll it is the same actor.
