PLO - Pretty good flop. But for who?
Party 1-2 PLO. A solid player openraises to 7 in MP and gets three callers. I call in the BB with Tc9c86. I have about $85 in my stack after calling and all other players in the hand cover me.
Flop comes Ad 7d 5c. What's the best course of action? |

Re: PLO - Pretty good flop. But for who?
This is an easy check-call on the flop as you definitely have enough outs to call a pot bet, but you cant lead here, you will either be raised big or be in a bad situation on the turn if you don't hit.
If you hit the turn, bet out unless you're positive you can get a checkraise in, but i'd prefer to bet it. |

Check. If it gets bet and raised, you need to fold. Some of your straight cards are no good, because they'll make the flush, and some of them are only going to get you a chop. Finally, all those that could scoop will get beat if a club comes or the board pairs.
If it's a bet only, with or without callers, then you probably overcall and hope for a great turn card. Later, Greg Raymer (FossilMan) |
