Use of Pokertracker
okay, I got the Pokertracker. In looking at it, there's just so much information that I'm not quite sure where to start. Does anybody have thoughts on how they apply PT to their own analysis? What stats do they look at to determine the quality of their opponents? etc
On a side note, what approach in general do others use in analyzing activity? I was thinking of still using raw logs to identify player tendencies that may not be apparent to me either at game time, or in PT. I would then use my anecdotal thoughts in conjunction with PT to (hopefully) come up with an effective profile for that player. Seems reasonable to me, but hard to do if I'm not quite sure how to use the info I have. any thoughts appreciated. |

Re: Use of Pokertracker
i just asked some questions about this software too. im interested to see the feedback. i too feel analyzing hands can yield other information besides what the tracker can. more importantly i feel like im really learning vs just doing what it says. i also use a poker stripper (or whatever they are called) to trim down the logs to keep them manageable.
thx to all who reply. randy |

Re: Use of Pokertracker
What's a poker stripper? And how does it keep logs more manageable?
