I assume quite a few of those people aren't just on the show for the money.

Think of it like the porn industry... Many of the contestants probably consider the show to be their "big break" into Hollywood.

Have none of you seen the show?

Even if you eat it, it's not a guarantee that you get the money. You have to go through like 4 levels to get to the cash.

You could eat 14 inches of HORSE RECTUM and end up losing.

Totally different from some rich guy approaching you on a whim and saying "If you eat a linear foot of horsey rectum, I'll give you $30K CASH right now no questions asked". If that were the case, yeah, I'd eat it.

But that is not the case on Fear Factor. These people are munchin' on equine-asslining in HOPES of making it to the final round, where they have a 50% chance of winning $30K cash.
