He is right though.

Horrible raise. However the raise saved you money since you're playing with weak-tights.

Try that against anyone that knows what they are doing and you'd be in for a lot that hand.

Who is right? I am not concerned with QQ or Q9.
Getting 3-bet on the flop is no biggie.
Sure I am up against redraws on the river. That's poker.

I think the raise is marginal myself.

It's a horrible raise if you're clairvoyant and know you're drawing dead against trips and a bigger flush.

Otherwise the raise is excellent.

Eh, it only really has value if everyone calls the flop here. I guess the free card prospect has value, but I'd rather call the flop and raise the turn.

Another caller in the middle and I think the raise is better. As it is, your FD is only marginally +EV with two others, and the paired board means you won't win as often. (And no, I'm not just being results oriented. )

I'm not sure about this. Drawing to a tiny flush on a paired board makes you more likely to be drawing dead or vulnerable to redraws, which means your raise might not have as much value as you think.

I don't like this flop raise, its very likely not for value on that board
