Got knocked out following HOH advice
..or did I? Was this a poor interpretation of inflection points?
I was playing in a $5 party tourney with 250 to start. There are about 45 left with 30th place being in the money. Stack is about 8,200 which is just below average. Blinds are 400/800, so my M is under 7 meaning I am well into the orange zone, borderline red. I'm in MP with KQs at a fairly typical (somewhat tight) table. Folded to me, I go all in. Should I have just called? |

Re: Got knocked out following HOH advice
Sounds normal to me. You didn't state what position you are in, but the more people that folded to you the better. You have FE to push this hand from any position to be honest.

Re: Got knocked out following HOH advice
You will get knocked out a lot pushing this way, but it is better than being blinded out.
Even UTG, I would push here with the big suited connector. It's close UTG with no ante. |

Re: Got knocked out following HOH advice
Seems to be a consensus here, but more info:
my stack was below average for the tournament. I was in middle position. Button called me with QQ. |

I was in middle position. [/ QUOTE ] Easy push. You have excellent odds. If you put in a smaller raise, you have to call a reraise anyway. [ QUOTE ] Button called me with QQ. [/ QUOTE ] Bad luck. Happens a lot. |

Re: Got knocked out following HOH advice
Nothing wrong with the play, you did the right thing.. The more you play MTT's, the more you realize that not everything is in your power to control.. but as long as you do the right thing, in the long run you should prosper
