The more tables you play the tighter you have to play.

If you play 8 tables you can't play 20% of your hands and enjoy it.

Everyone gives something up by multi-tabling, the question is if you are gaining more.

This is the key. I play only big bet games at high stakes and with many good tricky players in them, so I only play 3 tables so I can give myself more time to think things out. The more tables you play the more you just have to play ABC and not play the player as much.

Right.
Just take a your multitabling winrate. If it's above 2BB/100, there is virtually no way that 2 tabling is going to be as profitable. Now, if your 4-tabling winrate is <1BB/100, different story....

? regarding Multi Tableing....are you all running single monitors or do most of you have 2 of more? I am always afraid of hitting the wrong button when a table pops up when acting on another table.

stagger your tables.
although it isn't optimal, I play on my laptop at work. 4-7 tables, 4 down one side and the rest down the other side. None of the buttons overlap.

If I was playing at home, I'd buy a couple of those snazy dell thingys.

I play 4 tables constantly on Party. Ill sit in different corners on each table and leave all 4 tables up constantly. This allows me to see all of the tables at once. As far as concentrating on 4 tables simultaneously--try my favorite combination--rock and roll music and red bull...seems to keep me in tune with all 4 at once.

As long as your 4-tabling winrate is greater than half of your 2-tabling winrate, you should play 4 tables.

Play a tighter game, VPIP 15 is fine. Drop some more marginal hands when you are in the middle of a hand that has hit the flop. I really dont see how you can do worse 4 tabling the lower limits than playing 2 tables. But if you really need to figure out the plays, mabey you should stick to 2. As soon as you can, open more tables to build your bankroll as fast as possible.
