Default Re: You Reraise Preflop, The Flop Comes Ace High....

lets say someone's hand range for reraising is JJ-AA, AK, AQ.

If an Ace comes on the Flop this leaves 24 Combonations of AK and AQ and 2 Combinations of AA. So 26 total Combonations involving an Ace.

12 Combinations each of JJ-KK equals 36 Combinations.

Aren't there only 6 combinations for pocket pairs? [1. [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2. [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3. [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4. this means that there are only 18 combinations for KK-JJ.

didnt realize you meant hu, or oop. This obviously changes things significantly, and i hate to give this answer- but imo it depends tons on various things. The deeper the stacks get, and the more passive the opponent the more likely i am to bet. Also hu- even oop, my reraising range is very wide.

Most people don't reraise with AQ.

Oh ok. I had skim-read the thread and thought it was HU on the flop but not before.

Surely the easy solution is to widen your range.
