Default Is this a textbook SSH play?

On the turn, I felt the pairing of the jack reduced my outs significantly if I was behind, so I folded.

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (8 handed)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
1 fold, UTG+1 calls, 1 fold, MP2 calls, CO raises, 1 fold, SB calls, Hero calls, UTG+1 calls, MP2 calls.

Flop: (10 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, UTG+1 checks, MP2 checks, CO bets, SB folds, Hero raises, UTG+1 folds, MP2 calls, CO 3-bets, Hero calls, MP2 calls.

Turn: (9.50 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, MP2 checks, CO bets, Hero folds, MP2 folds.

Final Pot: 10.50 BB
Main Pot: 9.50 BB, won by CO.
Pot 2: 1 BB, returned to CO.

fold preflop... your flop c/r is good and I think your turn fold is good too, since you lost your 2 pair outs vs. AA

hmm, I was pretty sure this is a standard preflop call. Even SSH says it is.

I didn't see it was 5 handed. I still don't much like it. I've tried to start making these calls from the blinds and it always gets me in trouble. obviously take his word over mine, but I'm gonna continue to hate calling with easily dominated hands from the blinds.

I think the preflop call is fine for one bet and I agree the turn fold is good.

Yeah, I wish I played with such savy! I think your preflop call was absolutely correct with so much action.

I play it the same.

Though I'm probaly with sthief, and may or may not call the PF raise. - as you did, I think the Flop CR is absolutely correct here.

Preflop, K9s in the BB against as raise is a call.

The flop CR is ok. You only have 2nd pair with a good kicker and a backdoor flush draw. When the CO 3bet it, you knew you were way behind. Probably pair of As, Qs or AJs.

But what you don't say is anything about the CO's playing style. Is he a LAG, or tight?

If he was LAG, the CR on flop was fine, if he was tight, I would have folded the flop.

Easy preflop call. I'd call with almost any two suited out of the BB against a field of 5. You've got flush options, not to mention reverse dominating your opponents' AK.

You are obviously behind, but so what? You're looking at a huge pot for a measely bet. You'll outflop everyone enough times to make this a good call.

Folding on the flop is clearly wrong. You are getting 11-to-1... more than enough even if you are certain that you are behind and drawing. The flop check-raise is definitely the correct play.
