Default River laydown

Villain is semi unknown; not played him before but from what I've seen he is fairly tight and the only hand I saw him showdown wasn't unreasonable, I suspect him to be competent at least.

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

Flop: (7 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, Button calls.

Turn: (4.50 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>

It's close. Do you think he would play Ax this way? I'm tempted to look him up here, the pot's pretty big and I think you are good 10% of the time here.

Against a TAG I fold, but call a total unknown or LAG. I'm beginning to wonder whether calling is the choice, given no definite read.

hey homie,

on this board the fold looks okay though i would not be making this a routine fold against a TAG, LAG, or anybody for that matter save for super rocks.

a line i employ from time to time facing a preflop aggressor (raisor or 3-bettor) is to wait till the river to raise my weak ace here in case you happen to be betting that KK or QQ or whatever. don't think your opponents won't do that either.

A few hours on I'm feeling fairly meh towards a fold, so maybe I should have called. Btw I meant predictable TAG more so re: laying down regularly.

That's a pretty ugly board. If I were to call, it wouldn't be with the expectation of dragging the pot one time in ten.

Maybe you should check-call, he will probably bet a worse ace anyway.

I could fold this against a predictable player but I would want more of a read than you had. I call.
