Dan Brown writes far better books than the overwhelming majority of contemporary novelists.

That is a fascist lie.

Of course it is.

Ok, try this.

Dan Brown writes far more interesting books for the average person than the majority of contemporary novelists.

[/ QUOTE ]

Even better: Dan Brown writes in such a manner that he is more appealing to 24 year-old poker-playing wanna-be atheist intellectuals with M.S. degrees in Economics and pretentions in rehilosophy than the majority of contemporary novelists.

Perhaps that will be specific enough.

Good post. The book is complete trash, and it's the epitome of a book that people-who-can-barely-read would like.

I don't understand this. I'm a very smart guy. Am I less intelligent because I found The DaVinci Code enthralling?

I will accept that perhaps I am either less jaded or more naive than one should be at my stage in life, and that one of these explains my enjoyment of Dan Brown, but it is inane to claim that there is a negative correlation between one's appreciation of The DaVinci Code and one's literacy.

Yes, but obviously way beneath the $.01-.02 crowd.

See, I like reading poker books usually, and even though by your estimation I can barely read, I have never played anything less than 200x the level yer location states. But yes, Hemingway is lost on me.

Hopefully, I'll get by.

the only thing worse is his previous book, angels & demans. horrendous. the dialog reads like it was written by a 4th grader.

Then I can safely assume that you haven't read his first two books.
