Default Muck it, or %@^$ it?

My bustout hand from tonight's 11r. Schaefer and I weren't sure about it, so hopefully someone more intelligent can make sense of the situation. 40ish left. Opponent has been playing fairly solid. Obviously a sorry attempt at a stop n go, but meh, might as well try.

On the flop, you have to push, but I think it's a fold pre-flop. If he's solid, he's most certainly got you dominated, and I'm not sure what he can fold on the flop getting such great odds for a call.

sucks that you're in the BB with only 4x, but once you got there...

Ya, i was watching at this point.

I think there is a couple things to note.

#1 u have 20,000 of your 80,000 in the pot from BB

#2 there is 10,000 + 9,000 in dead money in the pot

I realize the villian here is a pretty decent player but i think u have to go with this hand at this point, he doenst have to have AA here. I dont think he is folding anything on the flop to a stop and go but like u said u might as well try.

If I were the opponent I would look at ur call as a setup for the stop n go because ur pot committed, and that w/my pp (which I figure he had)has u beat. If he has any clue as to how good & strong a player u r then he would know that u either would go all in b4 flop or ur going to stop n go. There is no way u would fold at the flop.

If I were against u that is how I would view this situation.

I just don't think you really have enough chips here to pull this type of play off. Your opponent is getting like 6:1 to call that flop bet... Even if all he has is overs, I would think he's gotta make that call given

1) how much money is in the pot
2) the fact that he'll see 2 more cards without betting
3) a loss won't cripple him.

Neither a stop&go nor a push PF will drive your opponent out... You have a better than average hand, but the raiser isn't exactly raising from LP on a steal attempt. I would fold PF, but given the fact that you did play it, I think it was played the best way for you to win (by giving the raiser a chance to get away from a whiffed hand). I hope you turned a 3 or went runner runner hearts

I know, it sucks, but yeah. For me personally, I would rather work with around 50k in the next orbit after my sb and look for a spot to make my move than to try and force something with A5o

Default Intuition says AI, Math says fold, let me check

Wow, I just did the math, and looks like this is a fold !!

Let me check it.

Of course in the moment, I think I've played the hand exactly like you.
