Default No-Limit Player Tries Limit

Hey, hey, groovy Limit Gang-

i've always been a no-limit guy, and i want to take a slight break to test out some limit games, to try building my bankroll in a relatively less volatile manner.

1) Skill-wise, what would you all say is the limit equivalent of the Party NL $100 crowd?

2) Any quick tips from other ex-no-limiters?

Thanks,
J Chap

read small stakes holdem
and dont play below .50/1$
i recommend 1/2 full, my caryover aggression for no limt, and ability to bluff and three bet with nothing, plays well at these levels from people who are rather timid about calling a 3 bet with anything other than a high pocket pair

In answer to #2:

Be careful with small PPs.

You're going to get sucked out on more frequently.

I find there are more live ones in Limit. A lot of calling stations that'll pay you off on every street. My buddy list got really big really fast once I switched. I play full ring, and I find there's at least 1 guy practically giving his money away on 70-80% of the tables.

Your limit swings are going to be longer and worse than your no-limit swings.

Play 5,000 at .5/1.

I say this because limit involves a lot of multiway contested pots, and .5/1 will give you plenty of opportunites to deal with this sort of thing.

Just to warn you I don't think this will be true. I guess it depends how you play nl which I obviously don't know. But on average I think the strategy that will win the most money in low limit limit games will be much higher variance than a winning strategy in the equivalent nl games. Of course I don't play much nl so I might be completely off.
