Default 2nd set on flush board. Call all in?

Party 200 NL full ring. Villain has $230, I have him covered.

His stats are 37/9/2.2

I get 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] on the button.

3 calls, fairly tight late position player raises to $8. I call. 2 of the previous callers both call the raise as well, including villain in MP.

Flop is 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

1 check, Villain bets $35 (around pot). pf raiser folds, I decide to just call (comments?). Other player folds.

Turn is T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Villain checks. I bet $60. Villain pushes for $186. I call.

Comments?

I have to know why you would minraise here.

Is it so that you can safely call for the pot odds if he hits his flush on the turn? Is it because his stats show that he's likely not a very good player so he'll probably just call it anyway with a worse hand?

I just reread, I thought villain was PFR.

in this case, I would raise substantially on the flop.

or, if you called the flop, calling the turn is good.

you aren't bluffing him off a low flush with a turn raise and he'll fold other hands that you beat.

I didn't raise the turn. I bet out $60 to protect myself from the 4 flush. What do you think?

I really apologize for misreading everything.

typically I check behind on the turn here.

you called the flop, so if you bet the turn you are representing the flush.

you can't expect a overpair, 2 pair type hand to call it.

His bet on the flop is either over/2pair/lowerset, or a flush draw and I feel that you do better against either hand to check the turn.

it could be possible for him to be holding A9 with A diamonds but this is a risk I'm willing to take.

raise the flop...he's leading into the preflop raiser either with a set or a big draw. you need to charge the draw.

i'd have checked behind on the turn. his turn check is suspicious.

as played, i'd probably call, but expect to see a flush most of the time.

Default Results

Villain had Q9 (no flush draw) and my hand was quite good.
