I am in town as well, 24-31 July. Staying at MGM the whole time, but happy to check out some of the other rooms. I think I can even find room in an expense account for several rounds of brews. It would be good to hook up.

For non-poker activity, a coworker suggested that the Chicago Brewery is a good destination. Can anyone confirm that one? Microbrews are a good thing...

I'll be there for just the 22nd to the 24th staying at the MGM. Travelling with the wife for this one, so poker will be limited form what I usually do, but I am basically "paying" for the trip I am making opening weekend of football.

I plan on trying to do the Sahara Tourney Friday night if we get in early enough then I'll be either at Excalibur or MGM most of the rest of the trip.

I am quite partial to microbrews too. Chicago would be fine. Main street station downtown has a fine microbrewery and restaraunt that I find my self at about once a week (no poker there tho). I have been meaning to try crown and anchor as well (on trop off the strip a little ways).

I will be there 7/20 to 7/25. Would love to meet up with some 2+2ers.

Will probably give the Aladdin tourney a couple of shots. Hope to see you there.

yes, I have been to crown & anchor - the girls working behind the bar were worth the trip. Truly amazing...although that was a few years ago, it would be good to see if they kept the strict hiring requirements. Regardless, it should be a good week.

Ok -

I should have checked back here earlier. Reading through it seems like 7/24 might work. It's one of the free days for me, so it works best for me.

Let's plan to meet up on 7/24 around 5pm?

Microbrews are cool with me. I'll defer to Capone on which place to pick, Capone?

Anyone else in for a 7/24 meetup around 5pm? Followed by Magoo'ing, of course.

JJ

7/24 might be fine but there's little chance of my being available that day before 7:30 or 8:00 pm, due to work. However, I can stay out pretty darn late and still get enough sleep for work the next day too....

You work the evening shift rather than night shift?

It's a bit early for me as well, since I am hoping to take advantage of an open bar invite from 6-8pm that night at Caesars. Anytime from 8pm on would be perfect.
