Better to have pushed this preflop?

push pre-flop.

don't post results in the thread and definitely don't advertise the bad beat. just leave it at "SB shows K5." nobody really cares what happened after that.

No, but a raise to 500-600 would probably pickup the pot.

He was no longer a "big" favorite on the flop.
