It's insta-call IMO, I'm guessing it was some kind of semi-bluff by the raiser where he either had a flush draw or a straight draw for the win. TPTK is a great hand and if I run into aces or kings with it, I take my beat and move on.

Wow, really? If he had a flush draw, why would he wait to push after missing on the turn? If he now has a straight draw (catching the 10 on the turn), would he really have called on the flop with a double gutshot? I say you're up against 44 or 77...I fold. Could be AA/KK/QQ that slowplayed and is now worried about straight draws. I think you're behind or already drawing dead.

You may have ran into a set that's true but you also win this situation a ton more times than you lose it. The all-in move is not a value bet, it shows fear. Of course he's drawing dead that's why he posted it. We make a good play get bad results and question the validity of the play.

I agree with your previous assessment that he played this well up to that point. I'm assuming you would call here. Could hero be ahead here? Sure. But this early with a deep stack, why take the chance? My read is that villian has an overpair or a set. IMO, his betting doesn't make sense for a flopped flush draw or a turned straight draw.

Rational players don't use the all-in move much early in a tournament. But, you can't apply rational to the early stages of a 10+1 on stars. Villain could have anything there are too many weak players not to cash in on this situation. You will take it down more times than you will lose it.

Default Results

Turn: (t735) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets t530, MP3 raises to t3060, BB folds, Hero calls t2200 (All-In).

River: (t6525) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

MP3 has 10[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img],10[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Final Pot: t6525

I didn't just post this because to rationalize a bad play. I was really on the fence and used my full time bank for this, I was very close to folding and couldn't pull the trigger. (Or let go of the trigger) I'm suprised that more people aren't saying fold. I didn't expect the TT (although it crossed my mind), but I figured he may have flopped a set and waited till the turn to raise me.

I do believe I shoulda have bet 3/4 pot on the flop rather than 1/2 to give flush draws worse odds.

Yeah I like a pot size bet in this spot. Really make them pay to draw out on you. Here's the Pokenum analysis, so it's a pretty bad beat
