Default 55 on the button- 10-20 6 max.

Heres one that may be interesting. I was goign to 3 bet PF the loose raiser, but with a cold call behind me and with position I opted to cold call and see a flop that looked relatively safe. I probably should have still three bet though. Anyone like this line?

Bunky:

Let me show my 6 max noobness.

I am not sure I get the preflop cold call, nor do I really see a preflop 3-bet as being all that great of an option. I just don't think that you are going to see tons of flops that you would consider favorable for your hand (the one you got is pretty good, though).

What am I missing here. Are you assured excessive action if you flop a set? Do these guys fold too much postflop, allowing you to "float" with a wide range of hands? Getting in 4:2 or 6:2 with 55 does not seem like a long term profitable situation.

Flame away.

What about raising on the flop instead of calling? Does anyone think that is a good play? I think cold calling 2 preflop is good.

yes, raising the flop is obviously the correct play there. and then just fold later if any checkraising occurs

I don't see why raising the flop is obviously correct here. I'd like to see the turn and the turn action before I determine whether or not I think my hand is best (and likely to stay best).

raising the flop is bad because overs have the odds to draw on you and these players are not throwing away overs when you raise.

Mp has a deuce (maybe higher pp) and got confused why everyone called. the bet is routine imo.
