villain might possibly bluff-raise a bet, but will almost certainly not bluff-3bet a c/r.

Villain would do all of the above.

No I think this would be very bad. What you did is good. But of course that is because he bluffed the river too.

My thinking is that a raise may fold 99-KK, which would be freakin' sweet. Plus, I can easily fold to a 3-bet or river lead. So, if MHIG, it is the same price as calling down and does the most to protect my hand. Knowing that he is bluffing, of course, makes this a bad play. But, I think that a vast majority of the time:
-i am behind, but must call down; or
-i am ahead, but must protect my hand.

I think he never plays 99-KK like this in a 3 way pot. He either has the ace or a bluff, you don't want him to fold a bluff, and he's never folding an ace. I think there is some chance he could bluff 3 bet you so that would totally suck too.

Good point, which I think makes my original line better. Glad I played it well, even though it was dumb luck.

Interesting. I'm not convinced, but I concede that you could be right. I'll have to think about it some more.

thanks.

I think an interesting question here is... if you raise UTG with a big ace, bet a ragged board, get raised by a solid player from LP on a rainbow board, and turn your Ace, do you bet out here 100% of the time? 80%? Do you check-raise every time?

How often do you think the 2+2er on the button checks behind on this turn given his range of raising hands on that flop?

I don't play the party 30/60, but if I had to guess, I'd say that you're check-raising that turn with a big ace or greater, and can't for the life of me think of a legitimate hand you might play the way you did, so I can't say that I like the turn lead. That doesn't necessarily mean I like a turn check-raise either, I don't feel like thinking any farther right now.
