Adjusting for 5/10 6 max....
As much as I love 5/10 6 max, I'd like to get some more 'risk free' hands in to sharpen my game. I have about 25k hands (mostly 3/6 6max) but don't really feel as if I was adaquetly prepared for the sheer agression of 5/10 6 max. I often feel lost during certain hands in Shorthanded, a feeling I haven't had since breaking into full. I'm a moderetly winning player right now, but would like to feel more confident in my play and know exactly what i'm doing and why like I do in full. Are there any good software programs (such as poker academy) that simulate an agressive SH'd game? Or any tough 'low limit' SH games (such as 1/2 or 2/4) that would compare to the agression levels of party 5/10?

Re: Adjusting for 5/10 6 max....
The transition from the party 3/6 SH to 5/10 SH wasn't very rough.
I.e. the 5/10's a bit laggier but 3/6 is a decent simulation for it. The party 1/2 SH plays much more LPish but it's easy money |

Re: Adjusting for 5/10 6 max....
I don't think party 5/10 sh is aggressive at all. But, I'm coming from Absolute 3/6 sh which is a lot tougher than party 5/10 sh. The players have wider playing styles, if that makes sense. Not all LPP's are the same or LAP's etc. It becomes more important to pay attention to your opponent (not that its ever "unimportant). One thing specifically is more players know how to take advantage of a turn raise in position. Other than that, it's nothing too scary as long as you're paying attention.

Re: Adjusting for 5/10 6 max....
I happen to feel that 1/2 is a good way to brush up on my 5/10 game. I found it more difficult than 3/6 SH, but perhaps that is different now as opposed to when 3/6 SH opened.
