Re: PL Hand #4
[ QUOTE ]
I just prefer an active role for image reasons, [/ QUOTE ] I hadn't even though about the meta game here. I think that you are correct that is doesn't really matter for the $25 tables but it is definitely something that I will keep in mind when I move up. [ QUOTE ] Maybe bet half the pot if you want here to entice callers with 2nd-best highs would be a better play. [/ QUOTE ] I like the idea of a blocking bet here. [ QUOTE ] It sucks that you were behind the whole way, [/ QUOTE ] Actually if I could have gotten head up with him on that flop I would only have been a slight dog. pokenum -o8 ad 2d td ts - ah 2h qs 8s -- 3h 6d 8h Omaha Hi/Low 8-or-better: 820 enumerated boards containing 6d 8h 3h cards scoop HIwin HIlos HItie LOwin LOlos LOtie EV Ts Ad Td 2d 0 312 500 8 0 0 820 0.443 Qs 8s Ah 2h 0 500 312 8 0 0 820 0.557 |

Re: PL Hand #4
I would not fold. The pot size is more than anyone’s remaining stack, so if two others get all in and one has A2 you are EV neutral to continue.

Re: PL Hand #4
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I would also pot it with that hand preflop to cut down on the number of opponents. [/ QUOTE ] I didn't bet pot pre-flop beacuse I was UTG so I don't think that it would have limited the field much. [/ QUOTE ] Your hand A2TT in general plays well heads-up (I was surprised to see that you're a slight dog pre-flop against A2Q8 double-suited. Take away his double suits, however, and then you're the favorite), although it does fine in a multiway pot too. Either you'll get a field of callers or just one or two--you should be happy with the result either way. Your equity edge is probably quite small, but potting it pre-flop provides an additional advantage of some ammunition for a large pot-sized bet on the flop if you can connect. Now you can get players to commit a significant portion of their stack on the flop when your equity edge is likely much larger. |

Re: PL Hand #4
I think this is one time not to listen to stormtrooper. There are too many people in this hand with you; after the flush hits, you want a small mult-way pot or get out. You haven't invested very much at this point. At higher levels, with fewer people seeing the flop, you'd have a better chance.
Edit: After reading gergery, and counting the number of bets, maybe you do have the odds to continue. |

Re: PL Hand #4
Good points. I think that I will pot this pre-flop from now on.
