I'm done with this hand preflop. I agree this crazy bluff works maybe once a year.

I have not read any of the other posts.

I only read one part of the hand you described - the pre-flop action.

You are basically describing at least one of the blinds as someone who is very, very aggressive, and can read well. You also imply they may be outplaying you on the later streets. The primary edge one can gain over such a player is in getting excess action from them when you do hold or make a big hand, and that you can induce bluffs from them.

Raising this player's blind with T8 offsuit is basically punting these edges: You will generally get played with by someone and likely 3 bet.
They will likely have a superior hand when they play, and you will not have a great read on this hand.
Any pair you make will be so vulnerable that inducing a bluff will be very dangerous.
The frequent check-raising minimizes your one last advantage of position.

Punish their playing style by folding pre-flop.
