I don't know what I was thinking when I posted that. I raise that out of the SB and BB after a bunch of limpers too.

Meh, I think I'm getting so used to retards calling me down with K-high it's screwed up my thought process. You are absolutely correct here.

A point no one has really made is that the BB is the one who is likely to have a 9 here. This is significant because he is in between 2 players (after GoT bets). If it were heads up he is much more likely to call a river bet with a 9, but as is he is likely to think that one of the other two players has him beat. And the way the other guy has played his hand (call call call) really seems like a draw, either spades or 78.

As for the flop call turn raise, this is a very good play IMO. Because even if hero has an edge in equity on the flop, it isn't that large. When the A hits and the BB bets and the middle player still calls, it is very likely no one has an A here, and GoT's equity edge is much larger (if the bet were raised to GoT this is an easy fold - not to mention his weak hand isn't exposed to check raises on the turn as it would if GoT raises the flop). Besides all that, this is a very disguising move - on this particular board his hand looks an awful lot like AK to the other two players.

Yeah you are definitely right - I just wanted to clarify the fact that he was the first to act after GoT's bet rather than the second.

He's not in the blinds, he's in LP.

How was I supposed to know that when he posts it in the small stakes forum? 1/2 means 1/2 to me, when posted on this forum.

Still, I think he should raise that flop .

Yeah he should have clarified. I was just letting you know, I wasn't meaning to be condescending.

GoT:

Really good hand to post. Enjoyed every street. At first I was like, wtf is he doing. Then I like everything I saw and would have bet the river there as well.

Look. I like to read the archives and have printed a lot of them out to study them, highlight them, etc. There's plenty of them back there with you learning stuff from others, taking steps from becoming an intermediate player to an expert player.

I'm working hard to make that jump. Hands like this and the thought processes they induce are a great help. So, as I'm sure you felt thankful for the time others gave you to help you out, I'm saying thanks and asking you to spend some more time in here with hands and thoughts.

Thanks,

QT

I think the board has become just a little too scary here. Maybe that's timid, but I would just check-chop.
