Default They are not people, ergo

the solution is to stick it to the prick/bitch who totally blew you off.

Cust serv reps have a huge amount of discretion in these matters; I've gotten answers that ranged from "if you don't like it, blow me" up to and including, "we are so sorry, Mr. xxxx, I am personally going to straighten this out; btw, here is my private ext. should you ever again have any problems" and these responses had no correlation to the size of my balance.

Not sure if anyone else asked but I am putting five bucks on Bank Of America.

I want "no-action" if you chose a large commercial bank - Chase, Citicorp, etc.

If you did shame on you; if you allowed your dear sainted mother to do so DOUBLE shame on you.

As to your plan for revenge against the PERSON not the institution, I do have a few ideas but I've been up for 24 straight and I'd like to think them thru before posting them.

None involve violence or any other criminal activity but be assured all are vicious and sadistic - and all allow you to take "credit" for the result while taking no blame for the actual act.

Default BTW

In spite of my [obvious] zealousness for the idea of nailing someone to the wall, having re-read your post I'm not sure they had a choice re. the order in which they posted the debits.

These are posted automatically, not manually.

When one transaction posts in a day whereas another takes a week it's usually due to the speed at which it was PRESENTED (by the merchant).

Just wanted to mention that - I'm not backing down; I'm all for putting it to somebody.

It's not kiting if there's money in the account the check is written from. She's doing a very simple transfer from one account to another via check and they decided to hold the check...huge difference dude.

Send tons of 1 cent payments to someone else (or another one of your accounts)!

I have a couple of observations about banks. The teller has some discretion in placing holds becasue back when getting a check form Paradise Poker was the normal way to cash out there was one teller that would always place a hold on my account (I would just call the 800 number and get it removed).

When I was in college I wanted to cash a financial aid check, I took it to the bank it was drawn on and they told me to come back the following day, they didn't have enough cash to cash it.

That's why they've strated holding checks, in order to prevent kiting-- basic, simple bank procedure.

When I was a kid my Mom opened a saving account for me. After a while I stopped using it but had left $1.14 in it. The bastards closed my account and took my money and I still hate them for it.

lol @ trying to float checks and then thinking it's the bank's fault when it wouldn't work out.

You need to man the [censored] up and take some responsiblity for your own mistakes.
