Default Live 5/10 hand - TT - Rockford

Rockford Charitable Games 5/10 with the usual bunch of idiots however the player to my right is somewhat TAGish, but I did see him complete JJ from the SB.

Hero is UTG+1 with T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]:

UTG (TAGish) raises, Hero 3bets, 2 fish call 3 cold, all fold to TAGish who caps, all call.

After his cap, I'm quite sure he's on AA-QQ or AKs possible AK

Flop (17.5 SB): 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

TAGish bets, Hero calls, fish both call

I called here with the intention of raising the turn if a safe card came or betting if checked to when a safe card fell.

Turn (10.75 BB): A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

TAGish bets, Hero folds...

Thanks for the help.

Craig

With the 2 other players to act behind you, I think you need to raise the flop.

That's why I didn't raise the flop. If I raise the flop, they would both be getting odds to chase. Forcing them to face two cold on the turn forces them to make a mistake by calling or fold. If it is checked to me on the turn, at least my equity goes up when a safe card falls.

i thnk ur underestimating the likleihood that a fish will lay down random overs looking at a raise on the flop,if u dont raise here u prob lose to a J or Q on othe turn.

Random overs; gutshot with JT? (I wouldn't put it past these guys )

There is a good chance they fold random overs, and they have better odds to call w/a gutshot if you call instead of raise.

I still like a raise better, don't you want to give them an opportunity to fold their overcards before catching one of them on the turn.

The only problem I see with waiting until the turn to raise is if everyone calls the flop the TAG will probably only bet better hands again on the turn.
