speaking of golden riviera bonus, i whored them a month or 2- deposit 50, get 20. then i'd cash out after completing the requirements and start over the next weekend. but stopped getting the email about it a month ago. did they stop that for anyone else? can i still get the 20 even though i don't get an email invite? remind me- is it 5x, 10x playthrough or what?

The reason Expekt have a lot of scandinavian players is that they are a big bookmaker in Scandinavia. The bookie customers try out the poker room and will often stay there.

The same has happened at 24hpoker. They had very few players until the bookie Unibet joined the network. Now the network has grown to one of the big poker networks, and they have over 1200 real money ring game players at peak.

One reason might be that if you are from sweden and play at a casino conected to EU, like expekt, then you do not have to pay any tax. But if you play at a casino with no conection to EU then you have to pay something like 33% in tax.....

Does this mean that the Scandinavian players that play on party poker or royal vegas have to pay taxes on their winnings?
I'd be surprised if party would send a sheet to the Scandinavian goverment to tell how much their players won/lost
